    Pens Win!

That was a fun series to watch..I didn't think they could pull it off after that 5-0 game.  I guess youthful legs was the key..would Fleury have got the Conn Smythe if he hadn't had that 5-0 game?

I'm thinking Hossa went to the Wings because he thoguht it was his best chance of winning a cup without having to do any workSmile

I'm so glad Hossa didn't get it.  That has to be some kind of record.  Now that he is officially a jinx, who will touch him?

Woo hoo!!  I'm glad to check in and see that things are still going on!!

It's been a LOT of fun to have won the Stanley Cup (as you'd probably imagine!).   I don't remember a whole lot of the game live (got REALLY nervous and started drinking a bit early), but I've watched it since.

Ohh, an interesting point....the Penguins parade outdrew the parade for the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is almost unthinkable around here.   I'm happy because I'm a big Steelers fan as well (but hate the NFL, ironically enough, as a playsafe, boring brand of football...but that's another thread all together.)

The only bad part of this is that...well, after today there's 2 weeks of only Pirates baseball until Steelers training camp starts and then the Pens hold rookie camp, and even that doesn't last until the 1st preseason game.   Summer sucks :(

    Pittsburgh...City of Champions (again!)

Glad you had a good time - the papers here have been trying hard to find something bad to say about Sid as nothing ticks off the Canadians more than success!

Hawks take Hossa - so that's their Cup dream over then Smile

Maybe they're playing the law of averages?  What are the odds that a guy could go to the cup three times with three different teams and NOT win?

If anyone can do it, Hossa can...

Can Calgary keep their scoring rate up noew Cammalleri has gone?  I remember seeing Sjostrom at NES when he came over to the Hitmen rookie camp way back - everyone was saying "who's the phenom on the White team?" -  hopefully he can step it up a bit ...

Any grudge I held against Hossa is officially dead, as he has received his karmic justice.

Ohh, Wes, you wouldn't be available to fly to Western PA for an 8:20 ET game, would you? Stick out tongue   Just got a message that our backup goalie's not available for tonight (and the goalie we started the season with out with a broken arm for at least the rest of the month) and was told to try to get one for tonight.   Well, I tried right?

I could have done it because, as we all know, spare goalies don't pay.  I played last Friday.  I won't say what my goals against was, though we did win.  And that's what counts, right?

Haven't been in here in awhile.

Started our summer hockey last Tuesday. I haven't been on the ice since the last week in Feb.

I ruptured my bicep tendon while in NYC w/my brother in law on that last  weekend . No I wasn't drunk, but started drinking right after that and no didn't go to ER. Wasn't going to spend 12 hrs in a NYC ER just to have some Dr tell me to take Advil , see my Dr.when I got home.Wasn't going to  waste my weekend in the city. Went to Ranger game that night and the strip club after.Got back home Sunday night went to ER Monday, went in for surgery Wed.March 5.

Anyway played Tuesday night and had a great game. Not bad for an old guy after  4 month layoff  w/a surgically repaired arm.Beer
